Following on from our successful community open day and free football sessions, we’re very pleased to announce that we’ll be launching the Grow Batheaston Junior Football Club (aka The Griffins!) tomorrow.

No need to let us know if you’re coming, we will just need to check you have filled in a registration form on arrival, and pay £5 (cash only) per child for the session. 

Parents are welcome to stay and watch or drop off and grab some time out. Some of the Grow Batheaston team will be taking the opportunity to give the rhymes pavilion a much needed lick of paint so if you’d like to help please dress appropriately. 

Please ensure your child has appropriate clothing for the session, trainers only, no football boots, a sun hat, sun cream, and a water bottle plus a snack.

This will be held at the Batheaston Football Pitch from 9.30am - 11.30am every Saturday. We’ve already have approx 60 budding new players sign-up for lessons, and we’re hoping to see that grow as the club progresses and builds, so please do spread the word, the more the merrier.

We have 3 qualified coaches, Aaron Fowler (Bath City FC), Chris Piles (Sporting Sensations) and Jamie Storrie (Grow Batheaston) to coach the lessons for the varying age groups. It’ll be mixed gender, girls & boys up to a certain age bracket, where we’ll naturally form groups as they progress according to skill, age and commitment. Main objectives is for the kids to have fun, get some exercise, learn about teamwork and respect.
