A varied walk on the east side of Bath, taking in a canal tow path, water meadows, a beautiful public garden, a housing estate and historic village.
Discover Batheaston and its environs and learn how community groups have influenced and altered their local environment, from a protest group (Meadows Alliance) to a more recent local initiative (Grow Batheaston).
We will also see the work of Friends of Bathampton Meadows Riverside, the Secret Garden volunteers, Bath & West Community Energy and Batheaston New Village Hall.

Start: Tow path on the Kennet & Avon Canal by the George Inn.
Finish: Batheaston riverside car park, there is a good bus service (3/3a) from here.
Terrain
Mainly flat and on pavements, a couple of inclines and steps, with alternate routes if necessary.
Facilities
Shops, cafes in Batheaston, and toilets in Batheaston car park. We'd encourage you to walk or cycle to the start, parking is restricted at the George.
