Batheaston's Arrangements for the Queen's funeral

It is with great sadness that we learned of the news of the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

There is a Book of Condolence in St John's Church which people might like to sign as a token of their grief and respect. Bath and North East Somerset Council also have a book of condolence open in the Council’s Offices in the Guildhall. There is a book of condolence available online, at www.royal.uk

On Monday St John the Baptist Church, in Northend, will be delighted to welcome all those Batheaston residents and their friends who would like to share the live viewing of the Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth at Westminster Abbey. The doors will open at 10.00am. Tea or coffee and biscuits will be available before and after the service.

Following the funeral service, the Pop-up Pub will be open in the New Village Hall from midday to 2.30pm on Monday for people to come along and raise a glass to Her Majesty. There will be a cash bar, with all alcoholic drinks priced at £3 and soft drinks £1 and complimentary food will be provided.
